Explorations in Experimental Acoustics.

Using mathematician Hans Cousto's theory of The Cosmic Octave and his search for harmony, the recordings of the tuning forks incorporated into this four channel installation respond to the frequencies of the sun, moon and selected celestial planets as they orbit.

Reverberating through 4 sheets of galvanised steel, these monuments become a vibrating membrane from which the emitted frequencies resonate in the space, permeating the very cells of the body.

Inspired by the sonic mediations of Pauline Oliveros who viewed listening as activism and a belief that sound and sounding can stimulate change and transformation.

We are desensitised to the destruction that we are a part of.
This work is an attempt to explore sound as a way of recalibrating a broken humanity.

Four channel audio composition, wood, galvanised steel.
